Idioms & Art is a custom-designed course that helps children discover the meaning and correct use of idioms in a fun, engaging and memorable way. Each lesson introduces 7 new idioms through original short stories written by the instructor, which students read, discuss and explore through a variety of comprehension and language activities.

After discovering each idiom, students practise using it through definition matching, fill-in-the-blank exercises, error correction and short dialogues. This allows them to move beyond simply learning new expressions and gain confidence in using them naturally in both conversation and writing. The combination of stories and practical exercises makes new vocabulary easier to understand and remember.

Creativity is an important part of every lesson. Students illustrate idioms individually and work together to create a shared visual representation of the expressions they have learned. These art activities provide a fun way to reinforce meaning while developing creativity, communication skills and confidence in using English. By the end of the course, children will have expanded their vocabulary, improved their language skills and discovered that learning English can be both creative and enjoyable.
